So today started NaNoWriMo and I've managed to spit out over 2,000 words! So excited. Well I don't quite have a full concept yet and I'm just winging it which seems to be fun. I'm drawing images from my dreams and trying to fit them into the story somehow so YAY FOR DREAMS!!!

*cries* This paper is kicking my butt/APPLICATION HELP!

So I have this paper to write...yes, its the same paper that should have been done like over a week ago so pssh. Anyway, I've managed to get roughly 3/4ths of it written but I am so sick of it and bullshitting can only go so far. I still have to finish citing things in my paper (also with the citations page) and so I'm using a site I used back in high school called NoodleTools. I wish I could personally thank the creators of NoodleTools because they have made the difficult process easier to get along with.

On a slightly unrelated note, NaNoWriMo is starting in about 6 days. I'm excited about it but I also know how much random crap I'm going to be writing for it. Hooray! I mentioned it to my Literature professor and she thought the idea was intriguing...oh well, I guess there's no going back now...

On a completely unrelated note, I'm totally applying for jobs. My mom thinks I need a job (she won't feed my money spending habits anymore). I have a few questions about the applications:

Since I live in a dorm, do I put my dorm address in the ADDRESS part of the application?
My only job experience has been babysitting so do I include that in my EMPLOYMENT HISTORY?
For references, who can I use? Do you think my Resident Director and Adviser could be good sources to use?

PLEASE HELP ME ANSWER THESE QUESTIONS....I NEED YOU.

To NaNoWriMo or not to NaNoWriMo?

So

aeoncole mentioned in one of her posts that she might do NaNoWriMo this year (again?). So that got me wondering, should I attempt it? I've never tried something like it before but it sounds fun. Other lj users I've friended have done this event and have kept doing it so I think this year, even with college and all, I'll give it a shot. It should be fun, right????

So...to NaNoWriMo or not to NaNoWriMo?

I think this bunny in my head wants me to....

I cannot speak for the entire female race but as a female, I know that I would more likely be inclined to cheat if I knew I wouldn't get caught or pregnant, or disease-ridden.

My favorite teacher in High School was Mr. Hollis. He was so fucking cool and chill and always encouraged you to do your work. However, he was totally into Anime and made one of the most boring classes fun (Applied Economics).

When you have to study or get work done, what music (if any) do you put on to help you concentrate?

If I have to study/get work done, sometimes I won't even listen to music. When I do listen to music, however, I like to turn on techno/trance music or instrumental music (music without lyrics) so I don't accidentally memorize or write down the lyrics.

I think I would find it the hardest to not contact my mom ever again. I love her and I know she cares about me so I'd miss her the most and would feel horrible about not getting the chance to say goodbye.

Stem Cell research, I believe, is a good thing. It will help so many people and help find cures and answers for a variety of genetic diseases. I believe that it should be funded by the government because the government helps fund so many medical and scientific programs to further the human race and this research project is no exception.

I have realized that I have once again failed to update...

1) My grades aren't doing so well but I plan to bring them up...somehow.
2) I broke up with my boyfriend because he was getting to be pretty annoying and stuff. Plus he was younger than I so of course, way immature.

3) Last night, I went out to dinner and a movie with Kyle, Brooke, Ashley, and Jenna (Brooke's Boyfriend met us at the movies). It was fun but Kyle drives like a crazy person, sometimes reaching speeds of 100 in 40mph zones! I gotta love him though. So yeah, Brooke and the gang have been trying to hook us up and I think its a good idea. My mom was a little worried because she woke up at like 1am thinking that I hadn't come home yet. Truth is that I got home like 10 minutes before then. Waaayy late. I wish I could have called my mom and told her I was at Jenna's and then gone off with Kyle to his place but sadly no. Not to mention that Kyle's dad was home anyway. So yeah.

At one point we got lost getting to the movie theater and Kyle was like intimidating this older guy on the road. After the movies, Brooke and Ashley got into Brooke's boyfriend's car and Jenna and I got in with Kyle. Those two boys really like racing, switching lanes, and burning rubber.

I am glad to be alive to write all of this.

I like to think of the holidays that come during this time: Halloween, Thanksgiving, Election Day, Christmas, etc. Even though this is the season of the dying light and I still have to be stuck in a building during most if not all of the lit day, I still enjoy it.
